Active User Billing Policy
Dashworksโ billing policy is structured so you only pay for active seats above the minimum seats for your tier. Here's how it works:
Dashworks bills for members who have been active at any time over the course of a 30-day period. Active members are those who use the product one or more times via the web app or Slackbot.
The billing is dynamic, meaning as the number of active members changes, the invoice will be prorated to account for an increase or decrease in users.
If new users get added, we'll calculate the prorated cost and bill you the following month.
If users become inactive, weโll calculate the prorated cost and issue you a credit for the following month.
Account activity | Status | Billing action |
A user did any activity in the product within the billing period. | Active | User will be charged as an active user for that billing period. |
A previously active user did not do any activity within the billing period. | Inactive | Dashworks will issue a prorated credit accounting for the unused portion of the billing period for the following month. |
An inactive user becomes an active user again. | Active | Dashworks will issue a charge for the prorated amount accounting for the remainder of the billing period. |
A user is invited to Dashworks but has not started using Dashworks. | Inactive | Dashworks will not issue a charge for this user until they become active. |
A user is blocked within Dashworks. | Inactive | Dashworks will issue a prorated credit accounting for the unused portion of the billing period for the following month. |
